For its first four seasons, the drama aired on CBS. However, the broadcast network opted to cancel the series in May 2022. A month later, NBC picked up a new season for the drama - with a 20 episode order. The first ten episodes of the fifth season aired on the new network this spring between February and April 2023.
A premiere date has not yet been slated for the remaining ten episodes of the fifth and now final season. The tentative plan is to release the already produced episodes during midseason of the 2023-24 broadcast schedule. However, those plans may change depending on how long the WGA strike continues.
