Amazon has today announced the premiere date for its upcoming original drama series Shelter based on the novel by Harlan Coben.
The 8-episode first season will launch on Friday, August 18 with its first three episodes. New episodes will then debut weekly every Friday until the season finale on September 22.
After the sudden death of his father, Mickey Bolitar starts a new life in Kasselton, New Jersey. He quickly finds himself tangled in the mysterious disappearance of a new student at his school, Ashley Kent, which leads to uncovering unimaginable secrets within their quiet suburban community. With the help of his friends - the inventive Spoon and the secretive Ema - Mickey pulls back the sleepy facade of Kasselton to reveal a dark underground that may hold the answers to decades of disappearances, deaths, and legends... and perhaps even his own complex family history.
The drama stars Jaden Michael, Constance Zimmer, Adrian Greensmith, Abby Corrigan, Tovah Feldshuh, Sage Linder and Brian Altemus.
Harlan Coben and Allen MacDonald developed the drama. They executive produce with Edward Ornelas, Erik Barmack and director Patricia Cardoso. Charlotte Coben serves as a producer. Amazon Studios and MGM Television produce.
