FX's ALIEN
- Alex Lawther, Samuel Blenkin, Essie Davis and Adarsh Gourav have joined the cast of the upcoming drama starring Sydney Chandler. Lawther previously starred for two seasons in Netflix's The End of the F***ing World and recurred on Disney+'s Andor. Blenkin recently starred in the "Loch Henry" episode of Netflix's Black Mirror. Davis starred in the Starz limited series The White Princess. Gourav starred in the 2021 Indian Hindi-language film The White Tiger.
- Lawther will play CJ, a soldier. Blenkin will play Boy Kavalier, a CEO. Davis will play Dame Silvia. Gourav will play Slightly.
- Production on the upcoming prequel to the Aliens film franchise created by Noah Hawley began this week in Thailand. All scripts were written before the WGA went on strike in early May. Meanwhile, the cast is a mixture of actors represented by SAG-AFTRA and the United Kingdom's Equity union. Production has been worked to accommodate the absence of SAG actors currently on strike. It's being reported that the Equity actors have the option of not working to show solidarity for their fellow performers fighting for better treatment in their contracts.
