The 8-episode second season will launch on Thursday, August 10 with its first two episodes. New episodes will then debut weekly every Thursday until the season finale on September 21.
Two estranged high school friends from Miami, Shawna and Mia, reunite to form a rap group. In their rise to fame, Shawna and Mia find themselves at a pivotal moment in their rap career as they are forced to decide if they will stay true to themselves or conform to the demands of the music industry.
The comedy stars Aida Osman, KaMillion, Jonica Booth, RJ Cyler and Daniel Augustin.
Issa Rae created the comedy, with Syreeta Singleton serving as showrunner. They executive produce with Montrel McKay, Jonathan Berry, Dave Becky and Jim Kleverweis. Hoorae Media, District 8 Productions and 3 Arts Entertainment produce.
