The 8-episode first season will launch on Friday, September 8 with its first three episodes. New episodes will then be released weekly every Friday until the season finale on October 13.
Based on the novel by Victor LaValle, the drama is a fairytale for grown-ups. A horror story, a parenthood fable and a perilous odyssey through a New York City you didn't know existed.
In addition to Stanfield, the drama stars Clark Backo, Adina Porter, Samuel T. Herring, Alexis Louder, Jared Abrahamson and Malcolm Barrett.
Kelly Marcel developed the drama. She executive produces with Stanfield, LaValle, Megan Ellison, Patrick Chu, Ali Krug, David Knoller, Sue Naegle, David Wolkis and directors Melina Matsoukas and Jonathan van Tulleken. Apple Studios, Annapurna Television and De La Revolución Films produce.
