The first season will launch on Thursday, September 21.
An expansion of the 2019 Academy Award-winning short film Hair Love, the series takes an honest look into the world of a tight-knit Chicago family as they juggle their careers, marriage, parenthood, social issues and multi-generational dynamics, all while striving to make a better life for themselves.
The voice cast includes Scott "Kid Cudi" Mescudi, Issa Rae, Loretta Devine, Harry Lennix, Tamar Braxton, Sheryl Lee Ralph, Debra Wilson and Brooke Monroe Conaway.
Cherry executive produces with Monica Young, Karen Toliver, Carl Jones, David Steward II and Carl Reed. Sony Pictures Animation produces.
