ABC Cancels 'Home Economics' After Three Seasons

ABC has today decided to cancel its original comedy series Home Economics after three seasons. The comedy wrapped its 42-episode run on January 18, 2023.






The comedy starred Topher Grace, Caitlin McGee, Jimmy Tatro, Karla Souza, Sasheer Zamata, Shiloh Bearman, Jordyn Starr Curet, Chloe Jo Rountree, JeCobi Swain and Lidia Porto.

Michael Colton and John Aboud created the comedy. They executive produced with Grace, Eric Tannenbaum, Kim Tannenbaum, Jason Wang, Tucker Cawley, Julieanne Smolinski and Dean Holland. Lionsgate Television, ABC Signature, The Tannenbaum Company and Colton & Aboud produced.

Home Economics was one of two scripted series awaiting word on its future from ABC following the conclusion of the 2022-23 broadcast season. The network extended the cast options beyond their original June 30 deadline. The network still has to make a decision on the future of its original drama series The Rookie: Feds.
