Just two days ago, FXX billed the fourteenth season finale of its original animated comedy series Archer as its series finale. And now, the cable network has shared that the veteran series will instead conclude with a special three-part finale event this December.
The finale event - title Archer: Into the Cold - will premiere on Sunday, December 17 at 10/9c. It will be simulcast on FX and FXX, and will be available to stream the next day on Hulu. All 14 seasons are currently streaming on Hulu.
The series follows Sterling Archer as he navigates the changing landscape of the spy world.
In its fourteenth season, the animated series featured the voices of H. Jon Benjamin, Aisha Tyler, Judy Greer, Chris Parnell, Amber Nash, Adam Reed, Lucky Yates and Natalie Dew.
Reed created the comedy. He executive produces with Matt Thompson and Casey Willis. Mark Ganek is a co-executive producer. FX Productions and Floyd County Productions produce.
The new series finale event was announced during the show's panel at New York Comic Con today.
