Peacock Renews 'Based on a True Story' for Season 2

Peacock has today renewed its original drama series Based on a True Story for a second season. An episode count and premiere date window were not immediately announced.

The first season of the dark comedic thriller starred Kaley Cuoco, Chris Messina, Tom Bateman, Priscilla Quintana, Liana Liberato and Natalia Dyer.

Craig Rosenberg created the series. He executive produces with Cuoco, Jason Bateman, Michael Costigan and director Alex Buono. Roxie Rodriguez and Melissa Blake co-executive produce. Universal Content Productions, Aggregate Films and Overlook Productions produce.

All eight episodes of the first season were released on the streamer on June 8, 2023.
