During its presentation today at CCXP in Sao Paolo, Brazil, Paramount+ announced the premiere date for the upcoming second season of its original drama series Halo.
The second season will debut on Thursday, February 8 with its first two episodes. New episodes will then be released weekly every Thursday.
In the new season, Master Chief John-117 leads his team of elite Spartans against the alien threat known as the Covenant. In the wake of a shocking event on a desolate planet, John cannot shake the feeling that his war is about to change and risks everything to prove what no one else will believe - that the Covenant are preparing to attack humanity's greatest stronghold. With the galaxy on the brink, John embarks on a journey to find the key to humankind's salvation, or its extinction - the Halo.
The drama stars Pablo Schreiber, Natascha McElhone, Jen Taylor, Bokeem Woodbine, Shabana Azmi, Natasha Culzac, Olive Gray, Yerin Ha, Bentley Kalu, Kate Kennedy, Charlie Murphy, Danny Sapani, Fiona O'Shaughnessy, Tylan Bailey, Cristina Rodlo and Joseph Morgan.
David Wiener serves as showrunner for the second season of the drama based on the video game franchise. He executive produces with Steven Spielberg, Darryl Frank, Justin Falvey, Kiki Wolfkill, Otto Bathurst, Toby Leslie and Gian Paolo Varani. 343 Industries, Amblin Television and One Big Picture produce.
