ABC has today announced that the upcoming seventh season of its original drama series Station 19 will be its last. The spinoff of Grey's Anatomy will conclude this spring with a 10-episode run.
Notably, the drama will hit the 100th episode mark in its seventh and final season. The series has aired 95 episodes to date across six seasons. The final season decision was made with enough time for the writers to craft a conclusion for the characters and their stories.
The drama stars Jaina Lee Ortiz, Jason George, Grey Damon, Barrett Doss, Jay Hayden, Danielle Savre, Boris Kodjoe, Stefania Spampinato, Carlos Miranda, Josh Randall and Merle Dandridge.
Zoanne Clack and Peter Paige will serve as co-showrunners for the final season. They executive produce with Stacy McKee, Shonda Rhimes, Betsy Beers and Paris Barclay. ABC Signature and Shondaland produce.
"For seven seasons Station 19 has been a highlight of the ABC lineup thanks to Shonda and Betsy's incredible vision, beloved characters and compelling storytelling," said Craig Erwich, President, Disney Television Group. "With Zoanne and Peter at the helm of the upcoming farewell season, we have so much to look forward to, most notably the celebration of the show's milestone 100th episode."
The seventh and final season of Station 19 will debut on Thursday, March 14 at 10/9c.
