Inspired by the real band of the same name, the drama will follow a tight-knit group of young adults from all walks of life who come together to form a rock band the summer after graduating from high school. Against the backdrop of Wilmington, North Carolina, The Runarounds will have to choose between succumbing to the pressures of real life, or risking it all to become the greatest band of all time.
The drama will star William Lipton, Axel Ellis, Jeremy Yun, Zendé Murdock, Jesse Golliher, Lilah Pate and Kelley Pereira.
Jonas Pate created the drama, with a teleplay from David Wilcox. They will executive produce with Joon Yun, Josh Pate, Shannon Burke, Lisa Mae Fincannon, Scott Lambert, David Ellison, Dana Goldberg and Matt Thunell. Jonas Pate will also direct the first episode. Skydance Television will produce.
