Amazon has today announced the premiere date for the upcoming second season of its original drama series American Rust.
All 10 episodes of the second season - titled American Rust: Broken Justice - will be available on Thursday, March 28.
In the small town of Buell, Pennsylvania, Del Harris and Grace Poe try to rebuild their lives after the harrowing events of Season One. Season Two picks up with a string of seemingly unrelated murders, hinting at a much larger conspiracy that threatens everyone in this small, tight-knit town.
Returning cast members include Jeff Daniels, Maura Tierney, David Alvarez, Alex Neustaedter, Julie Mayorga, Mark Pellegrino, Rob Yang and Kyle Beltran.
New cast additions for Season 2 include Luna Lauren Velez, Marc Menchaca, Nick Sandow, Britian Seibert, Christopher Denham, Amelia Workman, Leon Addison Brown and Sara Lindsey.
Dan Futterman created the drama. He executive produces with Daniels, Adam Rapp, Paul Martino, Michael De Luca, Ivan Schneeberg, David Fortier, Nick Nantell, Katie O'Connell Marsh and Elisa Ellis. Boat Rocker Studios and SouthSlope Pictures produce.
The drama's first season aired on Showtime in Fall 2021. The premium cable network then cancelled the drama after one season. Afterwards, the second season was ordered by Amazon Freevee. Today's announcement confirmed the news to move the new season to Amazon Prime Video proper.
