MGM+ has today announced the premiere date for the upcoming second season of its original drama series Beacon 23.
The 8-episode second season will debut on Sunday, April 7 at 9/8c.
Based on the novel by Hugh Howey, the new season finds Beacon 23 little more than a prison with Aleph onboard, and The Artifact providing more questions than answers. Without a clear path forward, the inhabitants of Beacon 23 must rely on each other, but their conflicting agendas may get in the way.
The drama stars Lena Headey and Stephan James.
Zak Penn developed the drama, with Glen Mazzara and Joy Blake serving as co-showrunners for the second season. They executive produce with Headey, James, Ira Steven Behr, Tina Thor, Katie O'Connell, Elisa Ellis and Katherine Pope. MGM+ Studios and Boat Rocker Media produce.
