Netflix Acquires 6-Episode Comedy 'Tires' Created by and Starring Shane Gillis

Netflix has today acquired the original comedy series Tires created by and starring stand-up comedian Shane Gillis. The first season - which was independently produced before being shopped to outlets - features six episodes.

All six episodes of the first season will be available on Thursday, May 23.

Will, the nervous and unqualified heir to an auto repair chain, attempts to turn his father's business around despite constant torture from his cousin and now employee, Shane (Gillis).

In addition to Gillis, the comedy stars Steven Gerben, Chris O'Connor, Kilah Fox, Stavros Halkias and Andrew Schulz.

Gillis co-created the comedy with Gerben and director John McKeever. The trio executive produce with Brandon James, Brian Stern, Kenneth Slotnick and Becky Astphan. Dad Sick Productions, Rough House and AGI Entertainment Media & Management produce.
