Sirens is the first series ordered by Netflix under Metzler's overall deal with the streamer. That development deal was made following the success of their previous series Maid, which spent 14 weeks in the Global Top 10 TV list on Netflix. The series also received three Emmy Award nominations - including for Metzler's writing.
