During the network's presentation today at the Television Critics Association's winter press tour, AMC announced the premiere date for its upcoming original drama series Parish starring Giancarlo Esposito.
The 6-episode first season will debut on Sunday, March 31 at 9/8c.
Esposito stars as Gracian "Gray" Parish, a family man and proud owner of a luxury car service in New Orleans. After his son is violently murdered and his business collapses, an encounter with an old friend from his days as a wheelman resurfaces old habits, sending Gray on a high-stakes collision course with a violent criminal syndicate.
In addition to Esposito, the drama stars Paula Malcomson, Zachary Momoh, Skeet Ulrich, Bonnie Mbuili, Ivan Mbakop, Arica Himmel and Dax Rey.
Bradley Whitford and Amanda Brugel appear as recurring guest stars.
Danny Brocklehurst and Jim Poyser developed the drama based on the British series The Driver. Eduardo Canto and Ryan Maldonado serve as showrunners for the first season. Brocklehurst, Poyser, Canto, Maldonado and Esposito executive produce with Jolyon Symonds, David Morrissey, Josh Kesselman, Danny Sherman, Barry Jossen, Tana Jamieson, Theo Travers and Nicola Shindler. AMC Studios, A+E Studios, Thruline Entertainment and Red Production produce.
