ABC has today given a series order to the original drama series Dr. Odyssey starring Joshua Jackson. The drama will air as part of the broadcast network's upcoming 2024-25 schedule.
Created by Ryan Murphy in his latest project for ABC, no details about the premise were immediately released. Jackson is said to be playing the title character whose charms help him get what he wants.
Murphy co-created the drama with Jon Robin Baitz and Joe Baken. They will executive produce with Jackson, Eric Paquette, Alexis Martin Woodall, Eric Kovtun, Scott Robertson, Nissa Diederich and director Paris Barclay. 20th Television and Ryan Murphy Television will produce.
Jackson previously starred for six seasons in The WB's Dawson's Creek, five seasons in FOX's Fringe, four seasons in Showtime's The Affair, in the Hulu limited series Little Fires Everywhere, in the first season of Peacock's Dr. Death and in Paramount+'s one-season drama Fatal Attraction.
The series comes nearly a week after Murphy's 9-1-1 made its debut on ABC with its seventh season premiere. The drama's first six seasons aired on FOX. Meanwhile, ABC and 20th Television fall under the same corporate umbrella at Disney.
