Netflix has today announced the premiere date for its upcoming original drama series Dead Boy Detectives based on the comic by Neil Gaiman and set in Netflix's The Sandman universe.
All 8 episode of the first season will be available on Thursday, April 25.
Edwin Payne and Charles Rowland are "the brains" and "the brawn" behind the Dead Boy Detectives agency. Teenagers born decades apart who find each other only in death, Edwin and Charles are best friends and ghosts... who solve mysteries. They will do anything to stick together - including escaping evil witches, Hell and Death herself. With the help of a clairvoyant named Crystal and her friend Niko, they are able to crack some of the mortal realm's most mystifying paranormal cases.
The drama stars George Rexstrew, Jayden Revri, Kassius Nelson, Yuyu Kitamura, Jennifer Lyon, Briana Cuoco, Lukas Gage, David Iacono and Ruth Connell.
Steve Yockey developed the drama and serves as co-showrunner alongside Beth Schwartz. They executive produce with Gaiman, Greg Berlanti, Jeremy Carver, Sarah Schechter, Leigh London Redman and Lee Toland Krieger. Warner Bros. Television and Berlanti Productions produce.
