Freevee has today announced the premiere date for its upcoming original comedy series Dinner With the Parents starring Michaela Watkins and Dan Bakkedahl.
The 10-episode first season will launch on Thursday, April 18 with its first four episodes. Two new episodes will then be released weekly every Thursday until the season finale on May 9.
Every Friday evening, the closely-knit Langers prove that it takes those we love best to bring out our worst. On tonight's menu: pranks, schemes, unwelcome neighbors, childhood crushes, at least one felony, many very bad decisions, and a scrumptious, freshly-baked apple crisp.
In addition to Watkins and Bakkedahl, the comedy stars Carol Kane, Henry Hall, Daniel Thrasher and Jon Glaser.
Guest stars in the first season include Rob Delaney, Christine Adams and Mircea Monroe.
Jon Beckerman developed the comedy based on the British sitcom Friday Night Dinner. He executive produces with Robert Popper, Kenton Allen, Saurabh Kakkar, Caroline Leddy and director Tristram Shapeero. CBS Studios, Big Talk Studios and Popper Pictures produce.
