AppleTV+ has today announced the premiere date for its upcoming original dramedy series Land of Women starring Eva Longoria.
The 6-episode first season will debut on Wednesday, June 26 with its first two episodes. New episodes will then be released weekly every Wednesday until the season finale on July 24.
The series follows Gala (Longoria), a New York empty nester, whose life is turned upside down when her husband implicates the family in financial improprieties, and she is forced to flee the city alongside her aging mother and teenage daughter. To escape the dangerous criminals to whom Gala's now vanished husband is indebted, the three women hide in the same charming wine town in northern Spain that Gala's mother fled 50 years ago, vowing never to return. The women seek to start anew and hope their identities will remain unknown, but gossip in the small town quickly spreads, unraveling their deepest family secrets and truths.
In addition to Longoria, the series stars Carmen Maura, Victoria Bazúa, Amaury Nolasco, Santiago Cabrera and Gloria Muñoz.
Ramón Campos, Gema R. Neira and Paula Fernández created the series inspired by the novel "La tierra de las mujeres" by Sandra Barneda. They executive produce with Longoria, Teresa Fernández-Valdés, Ben Spector, Sandra Condito and director Carlos Sedes. Apple Studios, Bambú Producciones and UnbeliEVAble Entertainment produce.
