Amazon's The Better Sister & Blade Runner 2099; Hulu's Untitled Amanda Knox Series; Netflix's The Four Seasons; and Paramount+'s School Spirits.
PARAMOUNT+'s SCHOOL SPIRITS
- Jess Gabor, Zack Calderon, Miles Elliot and Cihang Ma have booked recurring roles on the drama's upcoming second season. Gabor previously recurred on Showtime's Shameless and appears in Starz's upcoming limited series Three Women. Calderon starred in the second season of Amazon's The Wilds. Elliot recurred on AMC's Preacher and Nickelodeon's Nicky, Ricky, Dicky & Dawn. Cihang starred in the third season of Global's Departure.
- Gabor will play Janet Hamilton. Calderon will play Diego Herrera. Elliot will play Yuri. Cihang will play Quinn.
HULU's UNTITLED AMANDA KNOX SERIES
- Grace Van Patten will play the lead role in the upcoming limited series created by KJ Steinberg. She currently stars in Hulu's Tell Me Lies, which has been renewed for a second season. She previously starred in the first season of Hulu's Nine Perfect Strangers.
- She will play Amanda Knox, who was wrongfully convicted in Italy for the murder of her roommate Meredith Kercher. Knox spent almost four years incarcerated for the 2007 murder before being acquitted. Last week though, an Italian court upheld Knox's conviction on slander. Margaret Qualley was originally cast in the role but withdrew due to scheduling conflicts.
AMAZON's BLADE RUNNER 2099
- Hunter Schafer has joined the cast of the upcoming drama starring Michelle Yeoh. She currently stars in HBO's Euphoria, which has been renewed for a third season. Last year, she starred in the film The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes.
- No details were immediately announced about the character she will be playing.
NETFLIX's THE FOUR SEASONS
- Kerri Kenney-Silver has been cast as a series regular on the upcoming comedy created by and starring Tina Fey. She previously starred for eight seasons in Comedy Central/Roku's Reno 911, receiving four Emmy Award nominations as an actress and producer. She also recurred on NBC's Superstore and Netflix's A Series of Unfortunate Events.
- No details were immediately announced about the character she will be playing.
AMAZON's THE BETTER SISTER
- Gabriel Sloyer and Matthew Modine will co-star on the upcoming drama starring Jessica Biel and Elizabeth Banks. Sloyer previously recurred on Starz's Power, Netflix's Inventing Anna, CBS' The Equalizer and Netflix's Griselda. Modine starred for two seasons in Netflix's Stranger Things and appeared in the 2023 film Oppenheimer.
- Sloyer will play Jake Rodriguez, a colleague of Adam's (Corey Stoll) at a high-level law firm in Manhattan. He and Adam are bonded by their outsider status at the firm, and over time he's grown close with the whole family. But that closeness is tested by Adam's murder.
- Modine will play Bill Braddock, the powerful founding partner at Adam's law firm, a man of appetites who can be an ally or a threat depending on the day.
