HBO's THE GILDED AGE
- Phylicia Rashad, Brian Stokes Mitchell, Jordan Donica and Victoria Clark have booked recurring roles on the drama's upcoming third season. Rashad previously starred for eight seasons in NBC's The Cosby Show and is a two-time Tony Award winner for the plays A Raisin in the Sun and Skeleton Crew. Mitchell has received four Tony Award nominations - winning for the musical Kiss Me, Kate. Donica starred for three seasons in The CW's Charmed and was nominated for a Tony Award last year for the musical Camelot. Clark has received five Tony Award nominations - winning for the musicals The Light in the Piazza and Kimberly Akimbo.
- Rashad will play Mrs. Elizabeth Kirkland, a woman from a prominent family in Newport with ties dating back to the American Revolution. She has high standards and is unwilling to compromise the standards and expectations of her elite and exclusive social group - particularly when it comes to her son.
- Mitchell will play Frederick Kirkland, the patriarch of the Kirkland family and husband to Elizabeth Kirkland. He is the pastor of a prominent Black church and a leader in the Newport community.
- Donica will play Dr. William Kirkland, a kind and handsome doctor from the prominent Kirkland family who isn't as narrow-minded as the older members of his elite social circle. He was inspired to help others by becoming a doctor after visiting Arthur Scott's (John Douglas Thompson) pharmacy as a boy.
- Clark will play Joan Carlton, a kind and genial woman from the old money side of New York high society. Sincere and supportive of her son, she is surprised to find herself in a complicated and insulting situation.
PARAMOUNT+'s 1923
- Jennifer Carpenter has been cast in a recurring role on the drama's upcoming second season. She previously starred for eight seasons in Showtime's Dexter and in its follow-up series Dexter: New Blood.
- She will play Mamie Fossett, a highly capable U.S. Deputy Marshall who serves warrants and makes arrests with confidence ahead of her time.
NBC's FOUND
- Danielle Savre has landed a recurring role on the drama's upcoming second season. Her casting comes shortly after ending her seven-season starring role on ABC's Station 19.
- No details were immediately announced about the character she will be playing.
