Netflix has today renewed its original comedy series The Upshaws for a fifth and final season. The final run - which will be released as Part 7 - will produce 12 episodes. Meanwhile, the penultimate season - aka Part 6 - will premiere in early 2025.
The comedy stars Mike Epps, Kim Fields, Wanda Sykes, Diamond Lyons, Khali Spraggins, Journey Christine and Jermelle Simon.
Sykes co-created the comedy with Regina Hicks. They executive produce with Epps, Page Hurwitz, Niles Kirchner, Annie Levine, Jon Emerson and Mark Alton Brown.
"Truly grateful to Netflix for giving us this season to once again bring the warmth and funny that we're known for (and with this fifth and final-some closure) to our Upshaws family," said Hicks.
"A heartfelt thanks to Netflix for letting us send-off The Upshaws with this fifth and final season," added Sykes. "We are excited to give the show and the fans a proper farewell."
