Netflix Reveals Premiere Date for Comedy 'The Decameron' Starring Tony Hale and Zosia Mamet

Netflix has today announced the premiere date for its upcoming original dark comedy series The Decameron starring Tony Hale and Zosia Mamet.

All 8 episodes of the first season will be available on Thursday, July 25.

You are cordially invited to a wine-soaked sex romp set in the Italian countryside. The soapy dark comedy examines the all-too-timely theme of class struggles in the season of a pandemic. In the year 1348, the Black Death strikes hard in the city of Florence, and a handful of nobles retreat with their servants to a grand villa to wait out the plague with a lavish holiday. But as social rules wear thin, a scramble for survival ensues, brought to life by a cast of characters both cunning and outrageous.

In addition to Hale and Mamet, the series stars Saoirse-Monica Jackson, Amar Chadha-Patel, Leila Farzad, Lou Gala, Karan Gill, Douggie McMeekin, Jessica Plummer and Tanya Reynolds.

Kathleen Jordan created the series. She executive produces with Jenji Kohan, Blake McCormick, Tara Herrmann and director Michael Uppendahl. Tilted Productions produces.
