Paramount+ Reveals Premiere Date for New Drama 'Landman' Starring Billy Bob Thornton

Paramount+ has today announced the premiere date for its upcoming original drama series Landman starring Billy Bob Thornton.







The 10-episode first season will launch on Sunday, November 17 with its first two episodes. New episodes will then be released weekly every Sunday until the season finale on January 12, 2025.

Set in the proverbial boomtowns of West Texas, the series is a modern-day tale of fortune seeking in the world of oil rigs. Based on the podcast "Boomtown" from Imperative Entertainment and Texas Monthly, the series is an upstairs/downstairs story of roughnecks and wildcat billionaires fueling a boom so big, it's reshaping our climate, our economy and our geopolitics.

In addition to Thornton, the drama stars Ali Larter, Michelle Randolph, Jacob Lofland, Kayla Wallace, James Jordan, Mark Collie, Paulina Chávez and Demi Moore.

Recurring guest stars include Jon Hamm, Andy Garcia and Michael Peña.

Taylor Sheridan developed the drama. He executive produces with David C. Glasser, David Hutkin, Ron Burkle, Bob Yari, Christian Wallace, Geyer Kosinski, Michael Friedman, Stephen Kay, Dan Friedkin, Jason Hoch, J.K. Nickell and Megan Creydt. MTV Entertainment Studios, 101 Studios, Bosque Ranch Productions, Imperative Entertainment and Texas Monthly produce.
