'The Librarians: The Next Chapter' Moves From The CW to TNT

After receiving a series order at The CW last year, the original drama series The Librarians: The Next Chapter will instead be moving to TNT for a premiere in 2025. Moreover, the cable channel has picked up the drama for a second season.

A spinoff of TNT's The Librarians, the drama centers on a "Librarian" from the past, who time traveled to the present and now finds himself stuck here. When he returns to his castle, which is now a museum, he inadvertently releases magic across the continent. He is given a new team to help him clean up the mess he made, forming a new team of Librarians.

The drama stars Callum McGowan, Jessica Green, Olivia Morris and Bluey Robinson, with guest stars Caroline Loncq and Christian Kane reprising his role from the original series.

Dean Devlin developed the drama. He executive produces with Marc Roskin and Rachel Olschan-Wilson. Noah Wyle, Mark Franco and Jonathan English serve as producers. The CW Studios, Electric Entertainment and Balkanic Media produce.

"Our comeback to TNT with this franchise holds immense significance for us and we are thrilled by TNT's dedication to fans by offering them the continuation of one of their beloved fantasy series," said Devlin.
