Netflix is reuniting with the creator of one of its most successful and longest-running adult animated series - BoJack Horseman's Raphael Bob-Waksberg. The streamer has today given a series order to his latest animated creation Long Story Short. The series will premiere in 2025.
The series is about a family, over time. It's about the shared history, the inside jokes, the old wounds. If you've ever had a mother, father, sibling, partner or child, this is the show for you - and by the way, would it kill you to call them?
Bob-Waksberg will executive produce with Michael Eisner, Noel Bright and Steven A. Cohen. Corey Campodonico and Alex Bulkley will co-executive producer, while Lisa Hanawalt is supervising producer and designer of the original art. The Tornante Company and ShadowMachine will produce.
"It is legitimately a thrill and an honor to be back doing what I love most: drafting enthusiastic pull quotes for press releases to Hollywood trade publications," shared Bob-Waksberg. "Who says you can't go home again?!"
