HBO's 'Somebody Somewhere' to End After 3 Seasons

HBO has today announced that the upcoming third season of its original comedy series Somebody Somewhere will be its last. Moreover, a premiere date has been set for the final season.

The third and final season will premiere on Sunday, October 27 at 10:30/9:30c.

The series follows Sam, a true Kansan on the surface, but, beneath it all, struggling to fit the hometown mold. Grappling with loss and acceptance, singing is Sam's saving grace and leads her on a journey to discover herself and a community of outsiders who don't fit in but don't give up, showing that finding your people, and finding your voice, is possible. Anywhere. Somewhere. In season three, we see growth against all odds.

The comedy stars Bridget Everett, Jeff Hiller, Mary Catherine Garrison, Tim Bagley, Murray Hill, Jennifer Mudge, Mercedes White, Meighan Gerachis and Ólafur Darri Ólafsson.

Hannah Bos and Paul Thureen created the comedy. They executive produce with Everett, Carolyn Strauss, Jay Duplass, Mark Duplass, Mel Eslyn and Tyler Romary. Mighty Mint and Duplass Brothers Productions produce.

"It has been the greatest dram to bring this world to life, and to do it with HBO," said Everett, Bos, Thureen and Strauss. "Kansas Prairie-sized love and thanks to Amy, the entire HBO family, and to the most talented and caring cast and crew. The heart of Somebody Somewhere is friendship, and we will always hold dear the friendships on the screen and those forged behind the camera."

"We are incredibly proud to have collaborated with Bridget, Hannah and Paul on this remarkable exploration of the beauty of everyday life," added Amy Gravitt, Executive Vice President of HBO Programming and Head of HBO & Max Comedy Series. "Though it's hard to say goodbye to these characters we hold dear, we're grateful for this journey and the legacy Somebody Somewhere leaves behind."
