After months of speculation, FOX has today confirmed its original drama series 9-1-1: Lone Star will conclude with its upcoming fifth season. The 12-episode final season begins Monday, September 23 and the series finale will arrive in early 2025.
"From the start, fans have followed the heroic and deeply moving stories of the men and women who make up Austin's 126, so a huge thanks to one of the greatest creative teams in all of television - Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk and Tim Minear - for creating one of the most action-packed dramas anywhere," said Michael Thorn, President, Fox TV Network. "Now in our final season of the show, we're set to give it the high-stakes send-off it deserves, complete with breathless rescues, insurmountable odds and relatable personal struggles, thanks to our incomparable, stellar cast led by Rob Lowe and Gina Torres."
The fifth and final season stars Rob Lowe, Gina Torres, Ronen Rubinstein, Jim Parrack, Natacha Karam, Brian Michael Smith, Rafael Silva, Julian Works, Brianna Baker, Kelsey Yates, Skyler Yates and Jackson Pace.
Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk and Tim Minear created the drama - a spinoff of 9-1-1, which aired its first six seasons on FOX before moving to ABC. They executive produce with Lowe, Angela Bassett, Rashad Raisani, John J. Gray, Carly Soteras and Wolfe Coleman. 20th Television, Ryan Murphy Television, Brad Falchuk Teley-Vision and ReamWorks produce.
