NETFLIX's MONSTER
- At the Los Angeles premiere of the anthology drama's second installment last night, series creator Ryan Murphy announced production on the third installment will begin next month with Charlie Hunnam playing the lead role. Hunnam previously starred for seven seasons in FX's Sons of Anarchy. He also stars in Amazon's upcoming drama Criminal.
- He will play Ed Gein, a notorious killer and body snatcher whose crimes occurred during the 1950s.
PARAMOUNT+'s CRUTCH
- Kecia Lewis has been cast as a series regular on the upcoming spinoff of CBS' The Neighborhood starring Tracy Morgan. She won a Tony Award earlier this year for her featured role in the musical Hell's Kitchen. On television, she previously recurred on NBC's The Blacklist.
- She will play Antoinette, Crutch's (Morgan) meddling sister-in-law who, much to his chagrin, has inserted herself as the de facto matriarch of the Crutchfield clan. Elegant, worldly and self-righteous, Antoinette is a long-time divorcee whose life revolves around her weekly hair appointments and her job as a correctional officer at Rikers Island. However, when her sister's children come back to Harlem with their lives in disarray, she's happy to step in to help - even if she has to deal with Crutch in the process.
AMC's THE TALAMASCA
- William Fichtner has joined the cast of the upcoming Anne Rice drama starring Nicholas Denton. He previously starred for three seasons in FOX's Prison Break and five seasons in CBS' Mom.
- He will play Jasper, a mysterious American who has quietly assumed control and influence over the Talamasca's London Motherhouse. Though his motives and methods are cloaked in shadow, his charm and righteous sense of purpose are as dangerous as the power he's pursuing.
DISNEY+'s DOCTOR WHO
- Archie Panjabi will appear as a villain in the drama's upcoming fifteenth season. She received three Emmy Award nominations for her performance on CBS' The Good Wife - winning in 2010. She also starred for three seasons in Global's Departure, in the third season of TNT's Snowpiercer, in the first season of AppleTV+'s Hijack and in the Hulu limited series Under the Bridge.
- No additional details were immediately announced about the character she will be playing.
