AppleTV+'s Platonic; MGM+'s Spider-Noir; Netflix's The Waterfront; and Syfy's Revival.





NETFLIX's THE WATERFRONT
  • Jake Weary, Melissa Benoist, Rafael L. Silva, Humberly González, Danielle Campbell and Brady Hepner will co-star on the upcoming drama starring Holt McCallany and Maria Bello. Weary previously starred for six seasons in TNT's Animal Kingdom. Benoist starred for six seasons in The CW's Supergirl. Silva currently stars in FOX's 9-1-1: Lone Star, which returns next week for its fifth and final season. González recurred on The CW's In the Dark and Netflix's Ginny & Georgia. Campbell starred for three seasons in The CW's The Originals and two seasons in Paramount+'s Tell Me a Story. Hepner guest starred on NBC's Chicago Fire and CBS' FBI: International.
  • Weary will play Cane Buckley, Harlan's (McCallany) only son who has a complicated relationship with his father but never stops trying to do the right thing by his dad and can't seem to say no to him. Married to Peyton and the father of a young daughter, Cane likes the money his family business affords him, a band-aid for the life he got instead of the life he wanted.
  • Benoist will play Bree Buckley. Intelligent and hot-tempered, she formerly oversaw the fishery's finances. Like her father, she has allowed alcohol to ruin her bright future. After losing custody of her son, Bree struggles to maintain a relationship with him while maintaining her sobriety.
  • Silva will play Shawn Wilson, a newly employed bartender for the Buckleys. He is intrigued by the family and carries a secret that could upend the family forever.
  • González will play Jenna Tate, a journalist who leaves the city to return to Beaufort to tend to her ailing father. Returning to her hometown, she is confronted with past relationships, including her high school sweetheart, Cane Buckley, who still holds a flame for her.
  • Campbell will play Peyton Buckley, a proper Southern woman built to sparkle. The wife of Cane Buckley and mother of an 8-year-old, she loves Cane and understands his complex relationship with his dad.
  • Hepner will play Diller Hopkins, Bree's son who now lives with her ex-husband. He is a resentful teenager, a product of having an alcoholic mother. Although Bree is looking to mend their relationship, Diller treats her with hostility and turns to his grandfather Harlan, whom he idolizes.
  • Furthermore, Gerardo Celasco (The Devil in Ohio), Michael Gaston (Daredevil: Born Again) and Zach Roerig (The Vampire Diaries) will appear in recurring roles. Celasco will play DEA Agent Marcus Sanchez. Gaston will play Sheriff Clyde Porter. Roerig will play Troy.
MGM+'s SPIDER-NOIR
  • Lukas Haas, Cameron Britton, Cary Christopher, Michael Kostroff, Scott MacArthur, Joe Massingill, Whitney Rice and Amanda Schull have been cast in recurring roles on the upcoming drama starring Nicolas Cage. No details were announced about the characters they will be playing.
  • Haas previously starred in the third season of Star's War of the Worlds and recurred on HBO's The Righteous Gemstones.
  • Britton received an Emmy Award nomination in 2018 for his guest role on Netflix's Mindhunter. He also starred in the first season of Netflix's The Umbrella Academy and in the Spectrum limited series Manhunt: Deadly Games.
  • Christopher currently recurs on NBC's Days of Our Lives. He previously guest starred on ABC's Station 19 and CBS' NCIS.
  • MacArthur starred for two seasons in FOX's The Mick and in the first season of Peacock's Killing It. He next stars in Netflix's upcoming comedy Running Point opposite Kate Hudson.
  • Massingill recurred on AMC's Halt and Catch Fire, HBO's Barry, AMC's Fear the Walking Dead and Starz's Hightown.
  • Rice starred in Freevee's one-season comedy Jury Duty.
  • Schull starred for four seasons in Syfy's 12 Monkeys and two seasons in USA's Suits.
SYFY's REVIVAL
  • Melanie Scrofano, Romy Weltman, David James Elliott and Andy McQueen will play the lead roles in the upcoming drama based on the Image Comics series. Scrofano starred for four seasons in Syfy's Wynonna Earp and its follow-up special on Tubi. Weltman starred for two seasons in the Canadian drama Backstage. Elliott starred for ten seasons in NBC/CBS' JAG and recurred on Starz's Heels. McQueen starred for three seasons in CBC's Coroner.
  • Scrofano will play Dana Cypress, who is constantly having to prove her worth to a stubborn sheriff, who just so happens to be her father. And just when she is about to leave her small town for good, the events of Revival Day change that, instead sending her into her most important case to date.
  • Weltman will play Martha "Em" Cypress, the sheriff's younger daughter. Having led a very sheltered life due to a recurring illness, she is still figuring out her place in the world. A world that for her in particular, is now turned upside down.
  • Elliott will play Wayne Cypress, the longtime Wausau sheriff who is determined to keep his town and family as normal and safe as possible - a tall order when the dead return to life in the small town he's sworn to protect.
  • McQueen will play Ibrahim Ramin, a scientist from the Center for Disease Control who has been stationed in Wausau to study the bizarre phenomenon that brought people back to life.
APPLE TV+'s PLATONIC
  • The comedy's upcoming second season is staging a Saturday Night Live reunion. Aidy Bryant, Kyle Mooney and Beck Bennett will appear in recurring roles. All three appeared in the same era of the veteran sketch comedy series - with Bryant starring for ten seasons, Mooney appearing in nine seasons and Bennett performing for eight seasons.
  • No details were immediately announced about the characters they will be playing.
