Showtime Reveals Premiere Date for New Drama 'Dexter: Original Sin' Starring Patrick Gibson and Christian Slater

Showtime has today announced the premiere date for its upcoming original drama series Dexter: Original Sin starring Patrick Gibson and Christian Slater.






The 10-episode first season will became available to stream on Paramount+ with Showtime on Friday, December 13. The series will then make its linear debut on Showtime on Sunday, December 15 at 9/8c.

Set in 1991 Miami, Dexter (Gibson) transitions from student to avenging serial killer. When his bloodthirsty urges can't be ignored any longer, Dexter must learn to channel his inner darkness. With the guidance of his father, Harry (Slater), he adopts a code designed to help him find and kill people who deserve to be eliminated from society without getting on law enforcement's radar. This is a particular challenge for young Dexter as he begins a forensics. internship at the Miami Metro Police Department.

In addition to Gibson and Slater, the drama stars Patrick Dempsey, Molly Brown, James Martinez, Christina Milian, Alex Shimizu, Reno Wilson and Sarah Michelle Gellar. Michael C. Hall returns to voice the iconic inner monologue in Dexter Morgan's head.

Clyde Phillips developed the Dexter prequel. He executive produces with Hall, Scott Reynolds, Mary Leah Sutton, Tony Hernandez, Lilly Burns and director Michael Lehmann. Showtime Studios and Counterpart Studios produce.
