HBO Orders Comedy 'The Chair Company' Created by and Starring Tim Robinson

HBO has today given a series order to the original comedy series The Chair Company created by and starring Tim Robinson (I Think You Should Leave). The series produced a pilot earlier this year.

After an embarrassing incident at work, William Ronald Trosper (Robinson) finds himself investigating a far-reaching conspiracy.

In addition to Robinson, the comedy will star Lake Bell, Sophia Lillis, Will Price and Joseph Tudisco, with Lou Diamond Phillips appearing as a guest star in the pilot.

Robinson co-created the comedy with Zach Kanin. They executive produce with Adam McKay, Todd Schulman, Igor Srubshchik and director Andrew DeYoung. HyperObject Industries will produce.

"With an imprint only Tim and Zach can have on a character, William Ronald Trosper follows in the strong tradition of HBO comedy leads," said Amy Gravitt, Executive Vice President, HBO & Max Comedy Programming. "I couldn't be happier to announce the pickup of this wildly enjoyable show."

"We are so excited and thankful to get to make this show with HBO, HyperObject, and all of the amazing cast and crew that have helped to create it," added Robinson and Kanin.
