HBO has today given a series order to an untitled original comedy series created by and starring Rachel Sennott (Shiva Baby, Bottoms). The project produced a pilot earlier this year.
In the comedy, a codependent friend group reunites, navigating how the time apart, ambition and new relationships have changed them.
In addition to Sennott, the comedy will star Odessa A'zion, Jordan Firstman, Miles Robbins and True Whitaker.
Sennott wrote the pilot, which was directed by Lorene Scafaria. They will executive produce with Emma Barrie and Aida Rodgers.
"Rachel is as hilarious as she is charming," said Amy Gravitt, Executive Vice President, HBO and Max Comedy Programming. "With Lorene and Emma, she has captured the comedy and the beauty that happens when friendships collide with our best laid plans. We're thrilled to be continuing our collaboration with this talented team and this exquisite cast."
"I'm so grateful to Amy and HBO for the opportunity to make this show and the wonderful team that has been a part of creating it," added Sennott. "And I'm going to come up with a title soon I promise."
