HBO Sets Premiere Date for New Comedy 'The Franchise' Starring Himesh Patel and Aya Cash

HBO has today announced the premiere date for its upcoming original comedy series The Franchise starring Himesh Patel and Aya Cash.







The first season will debut on Sunday, October 6 at 10/9c.

The comedy follows the crew of an unloved franchise movie fighting for their place in a savage and unruly cinematic universe. The series shines a light on the secret chaos inside the world of superhero moviemaking, to ask the question - how exactly does the cinematic sausage get made? Because every f*ck-up has an origin story.

In addition to Patel and Cash, the comedy stars Jessica Hynes, Billy Magnussen, Lolly Adefope, Darren Goldstein and Isaac Powell.

Recurring guest stars include Richard E. Grant and Daniel Brühl.

Jon Brown created the comedy. He executive produces with Pippa Harris, Nicolas Brown, Julie Pastor, Armando Iannucci, Jim Kleverweis and director Sam Mendes. Neal Street Productions and Dundee Productions produce.
