After lots of speculation, Netflix has today officially ordered a second installment of its original anthology drama series Beef. The new installment will produce 8 half-hour episodes.
In the new installment which will feature new characters, a young couple witnesses an alarming fight between their boss and his wife, triggering chess moves of favors and coercion in the elitist world of a country club and its Korean billionaire owner.
The cast will include Oscar Isaac (Scenes From a Marriage, Inside Llewyn Davis), Carey Mulligan (Promising Young Woman, Maestro), Charles Melton (May December, Warfare) and Cailee Spaeny (Priscilla, Civil War).
Lee Sung Jin created the anthology series and will return as showrunner for the second installment. He executive produces with Steven Yeun, Ali Wong and Jake Schreier. A24 produces.
