Amazon Announces Premiere Date for Dark Comedy 'The Sticky' Starring Margo Martindale

Amazon has today announced the premiere date for its upcoming original comedy series The Sticky starring Margo Martindale.

All six episodes of the first season will be available on Friday, December 6.

Inspired by the true story dubbed the "Great Canadian Maple Syrup Heist," the series follows Ruth Landry (Martindale), a tough, middle-aged maple syrup farmer who turns to crime when the bureaucratic authorities threaten to take away everything she loves. She teams up with the hot-tempered Bostonian mobster and a mild-mannered French-Canadian security guard to carry out a multi-million dollar heist on Quebec's maple syrup surplas.

In addition to Martindale, the comedy stars Chris Diamantopoulos and Guillaume Cyr. Academy and Emmy Award winner Jamie Lee Curtis appears as a guest star.

Ed Herro and Brian Donovan created the comedy. They executive produce with Curtis, Jonathan Levine, Gillian Bohrer, Jason Blum, Chris McCumber, Jeremy Gold, Chris Dickie and Michael Dowse. Blumhouse Television, Comet Pictures, Megamix and Sphere Media produce.
