AMC has today announced the premiere date for the upcoming third season of its original drama series Dark Winds.
The 8-episode third season will debut on Sunday, March 9 at 9/8c.
Picking up six months after the events of Season 2, Lt. Joe Leaphorn and Jim Chee investigate the disappearance of two boys, with only an abandoned bicycle and blood-stained patch of ground left in their wake. Meanwhile, Bernadette Manuelito attempts to settle into her new life 500 miles from home with the Border Patrol, but stumbles across a conspiracy involving human and drug smuggling with far-reaching implications.
The drama stars Zahn McClarnon, Kiowa Gordon, Jessica Matten and Deanna Allison.
Guest stars in the third season include A. Martinez, Jenna Elfman, Bruce Greenwood, Raoul Max Trujillo, Tonantzin Carmelo, Alex Meraz, Terry Serpico, Derek Hinkey, Phil Burke and Christopher Heyerdahl.
Graham Roland developed the drama based on the novels by Tony Hillerman. He executive produces with McClarnon, showrunner John Wirth, Robert Redford, George R.R. Martin, Chris Eyre, Tina Elmo, Jim Chory, Vince Gerardis and Anne Hillerman. AMC Studios produces.
