"Missing While Gabi Mosely" was written by Michael G. Peterson and directed by Keesha Sharp

Sir is capable of invading the lives of Gabi's M&A family in numerous ways. They all have trauma connected to him now. That doesn't bond them together. In fact, their dynamic is more fractured than ever before. Their safe spaces have essentially been destroyed. They worry sharing more secrets will only cause more pain. They can only handle so much of this grueling emotional pain. They want to distract themselves with work. That only does so much good. Yes, they save lives. Victims who may never be found are reunited with their loved ones. Gabi provides closure for families that has long been denied to her. She is a master of spin. She knows how to deliver a story to the public to advance her overall goals. Sir insists she is exactly like him. The first season presented that parallel starkly. She kept her kidnapper chained up in her basement. She was no better than him. She needed his help in order to make this job work. He has insights no one else could possibly conclude. And yet, that too is a narrative Sir wishes to impose. He needs Gabi to see the inevitability of their bond. She will eventually come willingly with him. That will be the only place she finds refuge after being targeted by her allies. That too is a myth. It's a cause of his own delusion. He remains powerful with his manipulation.

Many people are susceptible to the darkness. Gabi allowed it to consume her for months. She eventually came forward. Trent is building a case against her. He hasn't made much progress yet. No one on the team is willing to cooperate. He sees the burden of this secret. It's unraveling them. Margaret is charged with assault. She attacked a janitor who was simply doing his job. She blacked out over the fear Jaime would be forgotten. She has spent thirteen years at the bus station. It's been impossible for her to move on. And now, she can no longer enter that space. She is banned. A restraining order has been filed against her. Gabi rescues her again. She provides comfort. That's true despite the animosity and fear. Gabi cares about the team she has assembled. She expresses her concern. They have to be willing to listen. Lacey is being incredibly reckless. She's trying to remove fear from her life. She can't let it consume her. That makes her actions dangerous. She isn't lying about Sir having a partner in crime. The audience receives that clarity. The team eventually comes to trust her too. That simply requires Margaret to have her own interaction with Sir. That's a precarious moment. No one can predict how Sir will react in the heat of the moment. That shows the value of Gabi's expertise.

Of course, the entire team recognizes that Sir always refers to Gabi as Gabrielle. His psyche hates the idea of shortening one's name. It isn't proper. Everything happens for a reason. As such, every action should be respected. It all has a place. It's all meant to be controlled. Sir invades the office with ease. Even him giving back his key won't end his presence. He knows how to get in contact with Gabi. When she needs his insight, she knows exactly how to tease him. The current situation requires the darkness to be explored and understood. Sir reaches that conclusion based on the work the M&A team has already done. That's the realization Lacey makes. She wants control over her life once more. She will never be silenced by Sir again. That requires the world to know the truth about who Sir is. That story has been misconstrued over the years. It was on Gabi to keep the public's attention all those years ago. She was just a kid. She was asked to be responsible for Bella's well-being. People could twist her words to fit in line with their simple understanding of the case. It's all sensationalized attention. It's misinformation in the vein of a compelling story. Gabi pushes back. She gets that certainty from Arthur. He can no longer distort her life for his personal gain. He will never have to come back again. He is irrelevant to this situation. Gabi still needs help to see clearly what is happening with the other Gabi Mosely.

The other Gabi changed her name because she was inspired by the work Gabi was doing. So much was online to explore. The team believed they were hunting a copycat of Sir. That's the impression given after the other Gabi is taken - with Charlotte soon thereafter. Gabi never believed it. Her instinct was right. She needs others to trust her. That's hard at this moment. Her team is struggling. They still find moments of catharsis. Dhan confesses to Ethan about his crimes. It's more devastating that this isn't the priority in his life. His marriage has been strong for awhile. His belief in Gabi is simply stronger. Meanwhile, Lacey recognizes that she isn't okay. She needs help. She asks for it. She and Gabi then provide support for Margaret. She can't stay away from the bus station. The team ensures she isn't alone. And finally, Zeke feels the rain on his hand again. He pushes through that boundary to experience that joy. Lacey helped him reconnect with his humanity. That's the power of this team. They aren't suddenly better. In fact, the stakes against them continue to increase. Trent is building a case against Dhan too. However, they aren't monsters. That darkness is present within the case. The other Gabi wanted to spin a story in her favor. She needed to be just like her hero. Charlotte's life was always in danger. Sir swept in as a noble savior. He too wants to reimagine his story. It's a battle of public perception now. The team sees him clearly. That's no guarantee the world will have the same reaction. Sir comes forward with his own tale. That will complicate everything especially if the team continues to be divided on what matters the most.
