Hulu and Disney+ have today renewed their original drama series The Artful Dodger for a second season. Production on eight new episodes will begin in 2025 in Sydney, Australia.
The new season will pick up where the heart's desires of Dodger, Fagin and Lady Belle left off, promising more cunning thievery, snappy humor, life-and-death surgeries, and romance with a twist.
Thomas Brodie-Sangster, David Thewlis and Maia Mitchell will reprise their roles as Jack Dawkins aka The Artful Dodger, Fagin and Lady Belle Fox, respectively.
James McNamara, David Maher and David Taylor created the drama. They executive produce with Jo Porter and Rachel Gardner. Sony Pictures Television, Curio Pictures and Beach Road Pictures produce.
The second season will be written by McNamara, Kate Mulvany, Dan Knight and Miranda Tapsell. Directors for the second season include Ben Young and Gracie Otto.
