Netflix has today announced the premiere date for the upcoming second season of its original drama series The Night Agent.
All 10 episodes of the second season will be available to stream on Thursday, January 23. The drama has already been renewed for a third season.
Based on the novel by Matthew Quirk, the sophisticated, character-based, action-thriller centers on a low-level FBI Agent, Peter Sutherland, whose efforts to save the President in Season 1 earn him an opportunity to become a Night Agent in Season 2. But working in the secretive organization of Night Action will propel Peter into a world where danger is everywhere and trust is in short supply.
Gabriel Basso and Luciane Buchanan reprise their roles as Peter Sutherland and Rose Larkin in the second season.
New actors joining the second season include Amanda Warren, Berto Colon, Louis Herthum, Arienne Mandi, Michael Malarkey, Keon Alexander, Brittany Snow, Teddy Sears, Navid Negahban and Rob Heaps.
Shawn Ryan developed the drama. He executive produces with Marney Hochman, Paul Bernard, Munis Rashid, Guy Ferland, Seth Gordon, Julia Gunn, David Beaubaire, Paul Neinstein, William Sherak, Nicole Tossou and James Vanderbilt. Sony Pictures Television, MiddKid Productions, Exhibit A Films and Project X Entertainment produce.
