PRIME VIDEO's THE WHEEL OF TIME
- Shohreh Aghdashloo has joined the cast of the drama's upcoming third season. She was nominated for an Academy Award in 2003 for her supporting performance in House of Sand and Fog. She won an Emmy Award in 2008 for her role in the HBO/BBC Two limited series House of Saddam. Recently, she starred for six seasons in Syfy/Prime Video's The Expanse and in the HBO limited series The Penguin.
- She will play Elaida do Avriny a'Roihan, a ruthlessly powerful Aes Sedai of the Red Ajah, as proficient in politicking as she is in channeling. She has a deep history with Moiraine (Rosamund Pike) and Siuan (Sophie Okonedo), and scores to settle with both of them when she returns to the White Tower. Elaida is someone who believes in ends over means, and is willing to do anything to achieve what she envisions to be the greater good.
