'Blue Bloods' Spinoff 'Boston Blue' Starring Donnie Wahlberg Ordered to Series at CBS

The Blue Bloods universe is officially expanding. CBS has today announced a series order for the spinoff Boston Blue featuring Donnie Wahlberg reprising his role. The drama will air during the broadcast network's upcoming 2025-26 season.

NYPD Detective Danny Reagan (Wahlberg) takes a position with Boston PD where he is paired with Detective Lena Peters, the eldest daughter of a prominent law enforcement family.

Brandon Sonnier and Brandon Margolis will serve as showrunners on the drama. They will executive produce with Wahlberg, Jerry Bruckheimer and KristieAnne Reed. CBS Studios and Jerry Bruckheimer Television will produce.

Blue Bloods aired for fourteen seasons and produced 293 episodes between September 2010 and December 2024.
