CBS has today renewed nine of its original series to return for its upcoming 2025-26 broadcast schedule - Elsbeth, Fire County, Georgie & Mandy's First Marriage, Ghosts, Hollywood Squares, NCIS, NCIS: Origins, NCIS: Sydney and Tracker.
Notably, the broadcast network has picked up two additional seasons of Ghosts - bringing it through its sixth season which will air during the 2026-27 season.
The renewals for the other series include the third season of Elsbeth, the fourth season of Fire Country, the second season of Georgie & Mandy's First Marriage, the second season of Hollywood Squares, the 23rd season of NCIS, the second season of NCIS: Origins, the third season of NCIS: Sydney, and the third season of Tracker.
In addition to Ghosts, the veteran drama FBI is already in the middle of a multi-season renewal that covers two more seasons. Meanwhile, the network has not yet made decisions on the futures of its two spinoffs FBI: International and FBI: Most Wanted. The channel will formalize its plans for those two shows plus the futures of The Equalizer, The Neighborhood, Poppa's House, S.W.A.T. and Watson at a later date. However, the broadcaster is currently in development on potential new spinoffs of FBI, Fire Country, The Equalizer and The Neighborhood - with the latter two airing as backdoor pilots later this spring.
Furthermore, CBS previously ordered new seasons for a number of its new and returning series for the 2025-26 season - including The Amazing Race, Survivor and Matlock. The broadcast network has also given series orders to Fire County spinoff Sheriff Country and Blue Bloods spinoff Boston Blue. And finally, next season will see the debut of singing competition series The Road from Blake Shelton and Taylor Sheridan.
"This season, our new and returning series continue to showcase CBS as the leader in launching and programming the biggest hits with mass appeal for broadcast and streaming viewers," said Amy Reisenbach, President, CBS Entertainment. "These returning shows represent a mix of long-standing hits and a new generation of fan favorites. In collaboration with our extraordinarily talented partners in front of and behind the camera, we look forward to delivering another successful season."
