The comedy will center around five work-obsessed twenty-somethings striving for professional success and, if they have time, personal happiness in Manhattan's most glamorous neighborhood, Murray Hill.
Kaling's frequent collaborator Charlie Grandy will serve as showrunner for the first season. The two will also executive produce with Howard Klein. Warner Bros. Television, Kaling International and 3 Arts Entertainment will produce.
The series orders marks Kaling's return to Hulu where she previously delivered three seasons of The Mindy Project, which ended in November 2017, and made the limited series Four Weddings and a Funeral, which was released in Summer 2019.
