Jeremy Strong to Star in 'The Boys From Brazil' Remake from Peter Morgan at Netflix

Emmy Award winner and current Academy Award nominee Jeremy Strong (Succession, The Apprentice) will star in and executive produce the TV series adaptation of Ira Levin novel The Boys From Brazil, which is set up at Netflix.

Strong will play Liebermann, a Nazi hunter who receives a tip that Dr. Josef Mengele, the infamous "Angel of Death" from the Auschwitz concentration camp, is living in Brazil. Liebermann travels there, uncovering a conspiracy to rebuild the Nazi regime.

Emmy Award winner Peter Morgan is developing the series. He will executive produce with Strong and Suzanne Mackie. Orchid Pictures will produce in association with Netflix.

Levin's novel was published in 1976 and was adapted as a feature film in 1978 starring Gregory Peck and Laurence Olivier. The film was nominated for three Academy Awards.

The series marks Strong's first TV project since HBO's Succession completed its four-season run in May 2023. Furthermore, this is the first TV project from Morgan since the December 2023 conclusion of his prior creation The Crown, which ran for six seasons on Netflix.
