Set in the high-octane world of Extraction, the thriller series will follow a mercenary (Sy) as he navigates a dangerous mission to rescue hostages in Libya. Trapped between warring factions and ruthless killers, the series delves into the emotional struggles of conflicted and flawed characters, each facing trauma, betrayal, and life-or-death choices.
Glen Mazzara (The Walking Dead) will serve as showrunner on the first season. He will also executive produce with Joe Russo, Anthony Russo, Angela Russo-Otstot, Scott Nemes, Chris Castaldi, Sam Hargrave, Eric Gitter and Peter Schwerin. AGBO will produce.
Based on the graphic novel "Ciudad" by Ande Parks, Extraction starring Chris Hemsworth debuted in April 2020. It was followed by the sequel Extraction 2 in June 2023.
