AppleTV+ Announces Premiere Date for New Comedy 'Stick' Starring Owen Wilson

AppleTV+ has today announced the premiere date for its upcoming original comedy series Stick starring Owen Wilson.

The 10-episode first season will launch on Wednesday, June 4 with its first three episodes. New episodes will then be released weekly every Wednesday until the season finale on July 23.

Wilson stars as Pryce Cahill, an over-the-hill, ex-pro golfer whose career was derailed prematurely 20 years ago. After the collapse of his marriage and getting fired from his job at an Indiana sporting goods store, Pryce hedges his bets, and future, entirely on a troubled 17-year-old golf phenom named Santi. Stick is a heartfelt, feel-good comedy about a found family and their relationships set within the world of golf as it has never been shown before.

In addition to Wilson, the comedy stars Peter Dager, Marc Maron, Mariana Treviño, Lilli Kay, Judy Greer and Timothy Olyphant.

The first season will feature guest appearances from Collin Morikawa, Keegan Bradley, Max Homa, Wyndham Clark, Jim Nantz, Trevor Immelman, Matt Scharff, Brad Dalke, Garrett Clark and Dan Rapaport.

Jason Keller created the comedy. He executive produces with Wilson, Ben Silverman, Guymon Casady, Howard T. Owens, Rodney Ferrell, Drew Buckley, Lee Eisenberg, Natalie Sandy, Christopher Moynihan, Bill Callahan and directors Valerie Faris and Jonathan Dayton. Apple Studios, Propagate Content and Entertainment 360 produce.
