Hulu has today announced the premiere date for the upcoming sixth and final season of its original drama series The Handmaid's Tale.
The 10-episode sixth and final season will debut on Tuesday, April 8 with its first three episodes. New episodes will then be released weekly every Tuesday until the series finale on May 27.
In the final season, June's unyielding spirit and determination pull her back into the fight to take down Gilead. Luke and Moira join the resistance. Serena tries to reform Gilead while Commander Lawrence and Aunt Lydia reckon with what they have wrought, and Nick faces challenging tests of character. This final chapter of June's journey highlights the importance of hope, courage, solidarity, and resilience in the pursuit of justice and freedom.
The drama stars Elisabeth Moss, Yvonne Strahovski, Bradley Whitford, Max Minghella, Ann Dowd, O-T Fagbenle, Samira Wiley, Madeline Brewer, Amanda Brugel, Sam Jaeger, Ever Carradine and Josh Charles.
Bruce Miller developed the drama based on the novel by Margaret Atwood. He executive produces with Moss, Warren Littlefield, Eric Tuchman, Yahlin Chang, Sheila Hockin, John Weber, Frank Siracusa, Steve Stark, Kim Todd, Daniel Wilson and Fran Sears.
